Auditions are not currently open. Will open early 2020.
Auditions for the Kensington Singers are not currently open. Each person interested in auditioning should fill out the audition form, revise the rehearsal schedule (cannot miss more than 2 rehearsals), and schedule an audition time.
Audition Instructions
1. Follow the directions to schedule an audition. If you have questions, please email us at: kensingtonsingers@gmail.com. Auditions will be held in 5-minute time slots. To schedule your audition time, click on the button below and follow the steps to fill out your information. You will receive a confirmation message once your audition has been scheduled.
2. Prepare to sing one verse of “My Country Tis of Thee”. The purpose of this is to hear you sing and demonstrate your vocal ability. You DO NOT need to bring an accompanist.
3. You will be asked to vocalize to check your singing range and vocal quality
4. You will be asked to sight-read a few measures of music
5. Please bring your completed audition form

Q: How much does it cost to be in the Kensington Singers?
A: The only cost for singing with the Kensington Singers is a small payment that goes toward purchasing your music for the season! And the best part, you get to keep it after!

Q: Is there a cost for wardrobe/concert attire?
A: NO! Every choir member is responsible for their concert attire. The women wear an all black dress and the men wear an all black suit with a black tie. So, you decide how much you want to spend for concert attire!

A: The Kensington Singers is much more than just your local community choir. The Kensington Singers is a community choir with the most professional feel. That means they give professional experiences through intense rehearsals, concerts with appropriate etiquette, and a professional organization to help you have the best musical experience.

A: The Kensington Singers offers the best of choral music to our audiences. A wide variety and selection are part of the repertoire of the choir.
