Logan Bingham

Conductor, Kensington Singers

Meet Our Conductor

Logan Bingham

Conductor/Artistic Director/President

Logan Bingham

Logan Bingham is excited to be the conductor of the Kensington Singers! Utah born and raised, he is proud of and believes in the talent that is found in his home state. While he is still new to the choral conducting scene, he has plenty of experience in choral music.

Logan is currently a choral music education major at the University of Utah where he studies under Dr. Barlow Bradford, Dr. Jared Rawlings, and Dr. Ines Thiebaut. He also sings in the University of Utah Chamber Choir conducted by Dr. Barlow Bradford.

Logan started conducting when he was called to be his Church Choir Director at the age of 16. For 1 1/2 years he served in that position, conducting many programs and performances for his church congregation. Logan was a member of the Herriman High School Chamber Singers and A Cappella Choir (where he served as Choir President) and helped the new choir grow and gain recognition. Logan is the recipient of the LeAnna Willmore Award for Excellence in Music as well as the Conductor's Award from the Herriman High School Choral Music Department.

Logan conducted the Herriman High School Chamber Singers and A Cappella Choir during a short student teaching opportunity in Fall 2014 where he was able to study conducting methods with Austin Thorpe.

In December 2016, Logan founded the Kensington Singers with a Christmas concert, "A Kensington Christmas", comprised of community members which then lead to the formal creation of the Singers in January 2017. Logan served as Assistant Conductor/President of the choir for the first half of 2017.

Most recently, Logan planned, executed, and conducted a reunion concert for his high school choir teacher, Austin Thorpe. The reunion concert consisted of 60 singers, all alumni of Herriman High School, as they came together to say thank you to their teacher as he leaves to pursue his doctorate degree at Florida State University.

Logan has sung with many choral ensembles throughout the state of Utah, including The Utah Symphony Chorus (2017-Present; Thierry Fischer, Conductor), The Salt Lake Youth Honor Choir, The Salt Lake Choral Artists, and the Salt Lake Vocal Artists (Dr. Brady Allred, Conductor), The Salt Lake Singers (Dr. Jane Fjeldsted, Conductor), and has participated in choirs with conductors Maestro Markus Stenz, Dr. Ryan Murphy, Dr. Lynne Gackle, Geoffrey Boers, Austin Thorpe, and many more. Logan's choral music experience has taken him to places like California, New York City, many venues locally.

Logan is an avid Broadway enthusiast as well as hobby graphic designer.
